SOME DAYS JUST AREN'T YOUR DAYS. BUT WE ARE STILL SMILING😀
After what seemed like months off (but was only weeks), we were back in action this weekend at home - North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA). And while the results don't show the effort or the speed, we left with some new notes and ideas, three damage-free race cars and the feeling that "fifth sucks." Which means the driver is hungry for more. We found some fire!

Qualifying: P5 (of 14)
A-Main: P5->P5
Recap: Heartbreaker. We made the top-6 in qualifying, keeping us out of the B-Main. In the A, we slotted into 3rd and had a great car - maybe our best of the year. But while navigating traffic, a lapped car came down on us and we jumped wheels and came to a stop. After going to the back, we raced back to 5th at the end, but was left wanting much more. Was nice to see the driver pissed! Bonus... we had the 2nd quickest lap in the race. The car was a rocket.

Qualifying: P2 (of 5)
A-Main: P2->P4
Recap: Blah. Got freightrained on the outside back to 4th. Ran there rest of the race. All the cars in this class are so close its hard to make passes. But pumped to see our good friends GBS Racing put on a clinic and whip us all day long.

Qualifying: P6 (of 12)
A-Main: P6->P7
Recap: This was a race. 12 cars. 40 laps. CAUTION FREE. But it doesn't give you much time to make moves. We had a 5th place car, but got shuffled back on the start from the outside lane. Was hesitant to make some passes when the time was right and finished 7th.
