DOUBLEHEADER LEADS TO IRONMAN TYPE OF DAY!!!

We have said it a few times - but our introduction to seniors has been eye opening. And yesterday added to it. With NCQMA’s only double header of the year, it meant a lot of racing. And Little E took that to heart. 🤣

We started the day with a fractured toe - E dropped a sledgehammer on his toe in the morning 🤦🏻‍♂️. Then after a bad qualifying session, we had to race lowers in 160 and Honda. And we transferred out. All day. That meant his tally yesterday was: 3 qualifying sessions, 4 lower mains, 6 A-mains 😳😳!  10 total races IN ONE DAY. Over 400 laps at one of the toughest tracks against TOUGH competitors with FULL FIELDS.

And to top it off… he WON his first Senior race at NCQMA in the last race of the night!

Recap: These results don’t show how fast we were. We raced into the top 4 or 5 in each race. But the driver needs to learn a few race craft things. But his transfers out of the Bs were awesome driving!

A-Main: P2->P5 / P3->P1 🏁🏁

Recap: WHAT A CAR! And what a comeback. Lightening fast all day. But the driver made a bad move for the lead early in race 1 resulting in a spin and got hit full speed from behind destroying pretty much the entire rear end. Between all the other races dad rebuilt the car to get it ready for race 2. In that race Little E took the lead on lap 1 and never looked back - leading all 40 laps and getting his first senior win at NCQMA! IN HIS 10TH RACE OF THE DAY!

Recap: Results don’t tell the story here. The car was FAST! A rocket. Was running with the leaders in race 1 but had to go to the back after spinning another car out when everyone was bumping and banging. In race two was running 6th on white flag lap but got spun on last lap… and no caution was thrown so we finished 10th. But we turned the 2nd quickest lap in the race and had a good car. But we still made it!!!
