Championship Series R.5 Recap

A GOOD START TO JUNE!!!

While the results might now show it, we had a great start to our busy month of June. We won our first Sr Honda heat race at home. We set our fastest lap ever in Honda. We had a chance to win Sr Animal. We had our best starts in both Honda and 160 As.

Overall, today was a good day. And considering the competition we have in weekly races at North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA) - we will take it.

Heat: P3->P1

A-Main: P2->P5

Recap: A great day with the Sr Honda. An awesome start in the heat saw us take the lead on lap one and lead every lap. That put us in for a p2 start in the feature (). After getting freight trained from 2nd to 8th at the start, we were able to come back to 5th at the end. But the real win was running our fastest laps ever in this car and running nose to tail with some of the best in the country and being in contention all race!

Recap: A frustrating race - in a good way. We started 3rd and got to 2nd at the start. We ran on the bumper of our buddy Ben for the entire 40 laps (literally on his bumper). But we couldn’t make a good clean pass so we had to settle for 2nd. A really fast car. Just missed back to back wins!!!!

Recap: The actual frustrating race of the day - we had a great heat race and started 3rd in the A. But a couple of bumper car accidents on the initial starts bent a bunch of parts in the rear end, forcing us to have to just survive. We came in multiple times to fix the car (thanks to all the dads and Ultimate QM for the help ).  But we still came home with a 7th. But oh what coulda been…
