BROKEN PARTS, BROKEN DREAMS… AND A PODIUM 🤪
After a huge weekend of momentum in Darlington, we hoped to keep that going this weekend at home at North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA). And while E was on it… the cars, the breaks and some broken parts weren’t in our favor. So we did what we could, learned from our mistakes, and we are already looking forward to next weekend’s Dixie Shootout Series race at NGQMA - North Georgia Quarter Midget Association.

Heat: P7->P4
B-Main: P1->P2
A-Main: P8->P9
Recap: Well… it was all downhill from the heat race. We had a good car, but were in a stacked heat and only made it to 4th in a caution free event. So off to the B-Main. We led early, but finished 2nd. But the car was slower. We weren’t sure why. Well, the A-Main answered it. E got up to 7th but then started falling off the pace. After a trip to the pits to figure out what was wrong, the car continued to be slow and E pulled off. In the end, we found the RF bearings pretty much disintegrated. So pulling off was the right call. And maybe it was the cause of the car continuing to get slower all day.

Heat: P2->P2
A-Main: P2->P2
Recap: A pretty standard day. The biggest part was being able to get down from the dreaded outside p2 starting spot in both the heat and A-Main. After that, the car was fast for the first 5-8 laps, but then locked down and was way too tight. Was able to hold off our buddy GBS Racing, but had nothing for our friends Awesomeness Racing Team.

Recap: After killing in in Darlington in this car, we hoped our NCQMA struggles were done. Well, didn’t look like it in the heat as the car was SUPER tight and we went to the back. After some changes thanks to Ultimate QM, the car came to life and we raced up to 4th in the A-Main. But after getting freight trained to the back, E didn’t give up and got right back at it and made moves back to the front. But twice, got forced down onto the turtles despite having the inside position and spun. He still preserved and drove back to 5th at the end.
