Darlington Nationals D.1 Recap

LOW ENERGY = SHORTENED RECAP FOR DAY 1 IN DARLINGTON!

We don’t have the energy for a full write up. Today was one of the hottest days ever at the track… like surface of the sun hot.

We did ok. Not great. Went forward in every race. But not enough. So we keep racing lower mains tomorrow.

🦷  Seamless Dentistry Sr. Honda 🦷

Heat: P5->P4

Recap: Car was ok. Got spun and had to go to the back early. Was a little timid but the car was fast. Could only make it back to 4th. Start 5th in B-Main tomorrow.

🛢️ Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change - Kannapolis Sr. Animal 🛢️

Heat: P8->P4

Recap: This car was awesome. We probabaly had the 2nd best car in the heat but just couldn’t make moves on a track that was hard to pass. Just missed making the A. Start p1 in the B-Main tomorrow.

🥞 Cascade Milling Light 160 🥞

Heat: P6->P5

Recap: This was the kick in the butt. Got to 3rd. Shoulda finished 3rd. But made some bad moves. Fell back to to 5th. Start p1 in C-Main tomorrow.

Was great to see Joey Logano at the track and take a pic by his “sponsor” sticker!  And introduced him to some friends. Also old friend Tab Boyd stopped by to visit and check it out!!
