THE GOOD👍, THE BAD👎 & THE UGLY🤮 IN GEORGIA
We don't even know where to start about this past weekend's Dixie Shootout Series race at NGQMA - North Georgia Quarter Midget Association. Our goal going in: put all three cars in the A and grab a top-five finish. Well, mission accomplished. But it only tells a little bit of the story. Want to know more? Read the recap below.

Heat: P6->P3
B-Main: P1->P3
A-Main: DNS
Recap: 🤮 DNS? What? Well, we had a STACKED heat and still was able to finish 3rd. And the car was FAST (as fast as Case James Racing and Weston Freeman Racing). Good for the pole of the B-Main. Even though the car slowed down a lot in the B, but we still made the A. But after the race, E said "something was wrong in the back of the car." After the race, we inspected the car and found the LR shock mount was cracked at the weld. It wasn't going to make it much longer. And with no welder available at the track, we made the tough choice to scratch from the A main - we didn't want to risk wrecking the car, hurting E or interfering with a points battle. It was a tough decision, but the right one. Bummer as the car was FAST!

Heat: P4->P2
A-Main: P3->P2
Recap: 👍 WHAT. A. RACE. We knew our Animal was good. We didn't know it would be that good. We started 3rd but then had to start 2nd after our friend Buzze Racing got knocked out before the start of the race. But we got down into 3rd and ran there for a while, until we followed Case James Racing through to 2nd. Then something magical happened. We lost some time to Case, then started to track him down. Running our best laps maybe ever, throwing sparks and caution to the wind, we inched closer and closer and pulled away from 3rd (a super strong Henion Racing). We were tracking down the best QM driver in the country, someone who doesn't really "get beat" that ofter. But E made a couple mistakes and brushed the wall driving so hard and lost some momentum. Then a late caution. But he held strong and held onto 2nd - his first Senior podium Dixie finish. And finishing 2nd to THE GOAT is like a win to us. And the cheers and congrats we received after the race was AMAZING. Thank you everyone!

Heat: P1->P2
B-Main: P6->P9
Recap: 👎 We had an OK heat. The car was tight. But we went straight to the A with 17 cars there. Then Dad screwed the A up. The car was WAY too tight. Super tight. We spun while making a pass and went to the back. The car was too tight after that and we were worn out from the Animal. Not a great end.
