Indy Nationals Recap | Day 1 Recap 🥵
Today was supposed to be practice and the possibility of starting heats. But with rain ☔️ in the forecast for the week, they elected to cancel practice and start with heats. And no practice wasn’t ideal because we hadn’t been on a parking lot track since last year and never in a Senior car.
So our Sr. Honda heat race was basically our “practice session.” Not ideal when it’s the biggest race of the year with 60 cars in that class alone.

Heat: P2->P2
Recap: We will take it!! Starting 2nd we dropped back to 6th on the outside. And our line was… well… NOT GOOD. But with some luck and a little aggression, we were able to make it back to 2nd at the checkers, locking us into the C Main later this week. That’s HUGE for us with this many cars here and Sr Honda having a J Main 😳🤪. With our points total, after heats, we rank 17th of 60! Not bad.
Tomorrow, we will race our Sr Animal (start 8th) and Light 160 (start 3rd) heats.
With 39 Sr Animals and 56 Light 160s here (over 500 cars total), we will have our work cut out for us! But we are up for the challenge.
Congrats to all the heat winners today. North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA) showed out!!! And a special congrats to one of my best friends Aleah Rose Racing on winning her heat race and locking it into the A Main in Heavy Honda! 💪🏼🏁
