WE CAME. WE RACED HARD. WE MET OUR GOALS. WE SWEATED. WE DRANK A LOT OF WATER.
Our initial Midwest Thunder .25 Quarter Midget Racing Series trip has come to an end. And while we are coming home with one expensive repair bill (💰you’re welcome Ultimate QM), we are leaving very happy.
Normally E struggles at new tracks. But he took to Miami Valley Quarter Midget Racing Association this weekend very quickly. And he raced hard! He made plenty of mistakes, which is understandable at a new place, but he learned from them. Some bad luck and bad breaks maybe kept us from finishing a couple of spots better, but that’s ok. 👌🏼
In the end, in our first Midwest regional, at a brand new track, with some tough competition… we made every A Main, finished on the lead lap in each one and gained a ton of experience.
Hard to be disappointed in that. 👍🏼
Now… to fix all these broke parts 🤪🤬😰😩

Heat Race: P7->P5
B-Main: P3->P3
A-Main: P9->P7
Recap: Well this wasn’t simple. DESTROYED the car 3 laps into practice this morning. So no notes, no idea how the car was. Got it fixed right before rolling out to the heat, where we ran as high as 3rd but finished 5th as car was too tight. Wholesale changes right before the B saw us pick up a ton of speed and finish 3rd transferring to the A. The A went green to checkers. Our car was FAST. But with no cautions it was hard to make up the spots. 4th through 7th were all right together. But we settled for 7th. Our best race of the weekend.
