Summer Series R.3 Recap
A NIGHT OF MANY DOWNS… 📉 AND ONE BIG “UP” 📈
Summer Series race 3 was supposed to be redemption from last week’s Summer race disappointment – but it didn’t really end up that way… well… until it did. The good… Elliott won his second Sr. Animal race of the year and his first Summer Series race since 2022. And grandma was there to see it and get a photo in Victory Lane. But it only lessened what was another frustrating night – with fast cars, but no other good finishes to show for it. We’ve got some work to do, for sure.
Also a huge shoutout to our buddy Daniel Bergen 🏆 for getting his first competitive win last night, winning the Heavy Honda race! It was AWESOME!

🦷 Seamless Dentistry Sr. Honda 🦷
A-Main: P5->P7
Recap: Another really, really fast car. In fact, we turned our fastest lap ever in that car during the race – the second quickest lap of the race. But the driver made a TON of mental mistakes and left the door open on restarts and took a car that shoulda finished 3rd and finished 7th. But big props to Edison (Awesomeness Racing Team) on his first Sr. Honda win and Grant Vernier Racing on his first Sr. Honda podium.
🛢️ Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change - Kannapolis Sr. Animal 🛢️
A-Main: P1->P1 🏁
Recap: The car that continues to be a rocket 🚀 was once again.. well a rocket 🚀. We led all 40 laps, but it wasn’t that easy. We had to hold off a hard charging Logan Thomas Racing on several restarts to earn this won. The Sr. Animal class is proving to be very competitive this year. But happy to pickup another win.🏆
🥞 Cascade Milling Light 160 🥞
A-Main: P3->P7
Recap: The first 10 laps or so were good… ran a solid 2nd with some super competitive times. But then we got spun off a restart (totally a racing deal so no worries Henry Albright Racing) and put to the back. Then, we just couldn’t get our groove back with caution after caution. And he made some mistakes which cost him a chance to make up more positions. We are going to be making some laps in the 160 this weekend.
