Summer Series R.5 Recap

SOME WORK TO DO… 🤔

Not the best of Summer Series races for us.  We got a podium finish out of it at least.  But none of the cars (or the driver) performed up to their abilities last night.  Still making some of the same mistakes you CAN NOT make in Senior class racing… especially with the talent from top to bottom we have  at North Carolina Quarter Midget Association (NCQMA).  We’ve got some stuff we need to work on, from the driver to car set ups, and after a talk we are going to get to work and get back to our early season form.

A-Main: P2->P3 🥉

Recap: Sounds like we just lost a position, but it was much more than that. We dropped back to like 7th on the start from the outside lane.  Car was ok… lost some speed from practice. But Elliott avoided wrecks, made some good moves and was patient. At the end, he found himself 3rd and held on for another Sr. Honda podium.  We likely had a 5th place car, so we will take it.

Recap: Boy we’ve lost our speed in this car the last month. Not sure where it went 🤷🏻‍♂️, but we are going back to the drawing board and going to work on it. A couple mistakes as well cost us a shot at the podium.

Recap: Sixth is about all we have in this car right now. 😩 The top-5 cars are just so good and so fast.  Another car we need to just practice and test some things on.  We know the car has more speed – so we need to find it!
